Through a strong human-rights-based approach, LifeLine works to prevent emotional distress and respond to those in need with compassion, confidentiality and professional care.

Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, LifeLine runs national helplines and support programmes that address issues such as gender-based violence, HIV and AIDS, mental health struggles and broader social pressures. These services, offered in all 11 official languages, ensure that people from all walks of life can access guidance, information and emotional support when they need it most, helping to build healthier individuals, stronger communities and a more resilient South Africa.
